Mother-in-law, are you listening?

Hi Ladies, I think now the joint family system is failing mainly because of the “saas bahu” tussle. There is no point in staying together in joint family when there exists every day tussle n tension in house. Couples who are about to get married should discuss and decide if they want to stay away as a nuclear family. Distance is much better than regular discord ! With so many working women today, I hope that Indian men, especially the fathers-in-law should realize that their daughter-in-law is also equally tired like his son after a day’s work. I have found that in most “sasuraals” the daughter-in-law is still expected to do loads of house work before and after going to the office, this is so unfair ! Why make a woman's life miserable by such unreasonable expectations? Is she not entitled life full of some what ease n comfort? Mother-in-laws listening?

You know what, its not as if mil's dont understand all of this and by even trying to explain these very basic things, our biggest mistake is to give them the benefit of doubt taht all their evil actions are because of their innocence!!
