Power of perception.
Often we experience or see other people as “the victim of their circumstances”. Be it a prisoner or a successful businessman every one believes that they are what they are because of their circumstances, either good or bad. They will talk about the opportunities they were given, or the chances they were denied. They may be grateful for the education they were exposed to, or complain they were denied the education they deserve. One person will tell you about her wonderful childhood and upbringing was, while another will complain that she came from a “dysfunctional” family. There is no denying that income, status, education, upbringing, neighborhood, family and many other situations will influence, effect and even determine the outcome of our lives. But who creates the circumstances? Your parents? Your environment? God? Destiny? We cannot change what happened to us, but we can change our PERCEPTION about what happened to us. The effect of our thoughts ABOUT our circumstances. This is the key to changing our present circumstances and our future. Our minds are like a garden. We can intelligently cultivate our garden, or we can allow it to run wild. If you diligently attend to your garden, it will produce the things you cultivate. If you don’t plant specific seeds, then the animals, wind and other elements will cause RANDOM things to grow which will likely to choke out the things you want to cultivate from your garden. One thing is certain, *SOMETHING* WILL GROW IN YOUR GARDEN! Just as a gardener must tend his or her garden, keeping out the weeds, you must tend the garden of your mind, weeding out the thoughts of lack, limitation and negativity. If you practice gardening of this kind, you will soon discover that you are the gardener of your soul. You will come to the profound revelation that you are not the victim of your circumstances–but the creator of them. The reason is simple: Whatever you give your attention to and focus on shapes your character, creates your circumstances, and determines your ultimate destiny. What you experience in your life is directly connected to your inner state of mind. The most important thing you can learn about success, prosperity and happiness is that cause (thought) and effect (results or experiences) are one. But face this important fact - You don’t simply end up in jail or the hospital, bankrupt, or alone no more than you simply wake up rich, successful, happy, and healthy. All these CIRCUMSTANCES are the RESULT of thousands of little decisions, which are reached as a result of the thoughts you give your attention to. Recently my friends husband committed suicide unable to bear the heavy debt he put himself in. in fact he was a very successful businessman and everything changed when he decided to invest huge amounts mostly borrowed in shares. He knew nothing about the share market but trusted his friends who allured him into making millions in a short time. in this incident he gave much thought to the millions than the actual details of how to make the millions. His choice was wrong though his intention was good. He was in a situation to choose his circumstance you might believe that it is true for other people, but you too have been the victim of numerous such circumstances which was beyond your control. how all this applies to you. First, you must accept that on one level or another, you have manifested everything that is happening in your life. Even the horrific, nasty stuff. I agree that you don’t do it consciously. But you do it. You are surrounded by a database of information that promotes negativity, fear, anxiety, limitation, and lack. It pummels your senses from all directions. It comes from your TV, radio, the Internet, your friends, family, church and the people you work with. Most people are so saturated by negative programming that they can’t even conceive a life of anything but struggle and complaint. What you read, what you listen to, and the people you talk with have a huge effect on the person you are and the thoughts you have. However, they are not the problem. We are, because we are willing to spend countless hours and pay billions of dollars to watch them, mimic their lifestyles and even their manner of dress. You must recognize that this database is continually programming you 24/7, and that almost 95% of it is fear, lack and limitation programming. what do you do? If you want to reach the highest levels of success, you have to zealously guard the input you allow to come into your life. You must control your own programming, and reject the poisonous stuff most people are trying to feed you. In order to focus on success, it is imperative that you spend more time on your own personal growth. Each morning and each evening before you go to bed, spend time on focusing on something positive. You are the foundation from which all your dreams are made reality. This is the only way you can guarantee your success, wealth and happiness…here are few ways in which you can reprogram your thought and perception about your circumstances. take Charge Of Your Life Caring what other people think of you puts them in charge of your life, instead of you. ‘What will other people think of me?’ slavery is extremely common. Most of us are brought up (rightfully so) to consider others. But, unless we are discerning, we soon find ourselves caught up in a job we can’t stand, or living in a relationship which makes us unhappy, or getting caught up in the spiral of poverty. Trying to please other people all the time’ syndrome begins in childhood. It stems from a desire to be liked and admired. Over the years thousands of small incidents build up, until by the time we are adults, most of us make a habit of putting what other people think of us before our own personal needs and desires. You have to live your life, be in charge of it and make the correct choices. Before you cut the grass, decorate the house, start a business, go on holiday, always ask yourself, ‘am I doing this for the right reasons?’ Yes, the gardening has to be done, but not if you’re in the middle of crucial market research and if you don’t cut the grass today you’re worried that the neighbor’s will think you’re lazy. Yes, a house has to be decorated, but not if it’s at the expense of your health through shooting your stress level through the roof trying to fit it in between a busy advertising campaign, and it’s only because your partner insists you do it now. ‘Other people’ slavery kills your creativity, your energy and drive towards your own goals and fulfilling your dreams. It stops you from going to places you want to visit and enjoying the kind of entertainment that you enjoy. So, make certain you’re not always driven to do things, merely because you’re worried about what other people think of you. Be confident in who you are. Look to the Future If you dwell on your past mistakes your creativity can crash to a grinding halt and you will be unable to move forward. Losing is good if you interpret it correctly. Don’t regard mistakes as mistakes. It ceases to be a mistake and loses its power to hold you back if you can learn to be glad that you’ve not failed but learned valuable lessons in life. That attitude will help you to build future successes. Lost a job? You probably weren’t suited, so take the time out to decide what you really want to do. Built a business and then it crashed? Perhaps you don’t like running your own business. Can’t sell a product? Look for the reason and then act. Either try out other ways to sell it or scrap the product and sell a different one. Blessed is he who is not discouraged by mistakes. Blessed is he who is glad he makes mistakes. Winning - or losing - is a state of mind. Dare to take a chance. Our minds drive us to achieve exactly what we believe we’re capable of achieving. This is good news because once we understand this and master the art of controlled thinking, then we can guide our destinies towards success. Only a miracle can make the football team win who starts a game with the ‘we know they’ll beat us,’ attitude. If you need to break the bonds of ‘I’m certain to fail’ slavery: 1. Hold positive chats with yourself. 2. Surround yourself with positive people. 3. Think, ‘I’m going to succeed’. 4. Think, ‘I’m a winner’. The only person you will have to convince is yourself. Other people are automatically convinced you’re great and a success, after you have convinced yourself. Self appreciation and self praise with true fire to taste success and affirmation never to be a victim to any circumstance along with self discipline and character will surely lead to success and happiness
