Life is a roller coaster. Enjoy it!

In today’s day and age, I know I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the smartest women in the business, and have had the opportunity to learn from them. This certainly couldn’t have been possible 20 years ago!

Today women are more independent, not just economically, but even in their thinking. This means they don’t have to take injustice. I’m not saying, they “don’t” take injustice- lots of them do, but they don’t “have” to! Yes we have plenty of instances of domestic violence, abuse, rape etc but the ray of hope here is, that these cases are being reported, and not being brushed under the carpet. Media is playing a big role in this.

Don’t we live in a wonderful age? Yes, some feel it’s an age of transition, where roles of women are changing too fast and difficult to keep pace with. Some feel there is so much more to be accomplished as far as women and their status go, in society. Some subscribe to feminism and others dismiss feminism.

We are almost there when it comes to gender equality. Per se what does all this do? In my opinion it raises the self-esteem of women. And people with higher self-esteem are happier people, aren’t they? And happier people raise happy families, don’t they? In as much as all of the above I am a feminist. But I feel feminism has a long way to go still. Living in this scenario is beautiful, and life is a roller coaster….enjoy it!

I hate being in roller coaster, I do not like it anymore, tired of doing it all, working, cooking, cleaning, taking care of daughter, never ending, no rest. I want to get out of it and enjoy simple things in life, so stressed out... no fun at all

You are right jyotika, that is due to globalization. Also there is much pressure on women these days.But women should be given the same economic, social, and political rights as men, then the life will be beautiful forever.
