Double Standards…

They say when a women gets married she is marrying the family.Why is it not same for the guys?A man can talk to his parents pratically everyday but the moment the women starts talking to her parents their is a big hungama.Why these double standards? A man's parents should be treated with respect.But what about the women's parents.We educated women stood stand up for our rights than being victims of such pratices. I have two children aged 6 and 8 .When I talk about my experiences about my parents my husband will get angry and say so what's so great about your parents ,why are you talking about them?Does it mean that after marriage a woman should completely forget her parents.Can he do the same?Does marriage mean forgetting one's parents for the relationship?A man says it is a duty to look after his parents but if a women says that she will be targetted saying her responsiblilities are first to his family and the children and everything later .Does that mean that whatever years a girl spends before marriage with her parents should be forgotten and she forget about her duties to her parents?This is really shocking and very sad....
