Some people have an overwhelming urge to eat when they are getting bore, anxious, or watching TV. They start with just a few potato chips, which quickly turns into a bag and they are little conscious about it. Gradually they become the victim of obesity. But well-chosen snacks can help you manage your weight, hunger, health, and energy. Instead of eating only three time meal you can go for several small healthy snacks between meals that helps in weight loss by keeping your cravings for food down and preventing excessive hunger that may lead to overeating. If you are eating snacks sagely between meals, it will promote good health and add pleasure to life. You will also feel active throughout the day as you are not starving yourself. Whether you are at home or in office, healthy snacks impart important nutrients and energy to your body in each delicious bite. Here are few healthy snacks that are enough to feed you without making you obese:

  • Fruits and Vegetables: Fruits are the most healthy and natural foods in existence which provide us with strong health benefits. Fruit contains a large amount of vitamins and minerals that keep us healthy. Instead of taking supplements to provide each nutrient separately, eating the whole fruit or juice is best to gain the benefits. Melons (watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew), grapefruit, berries (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries), papaya and peach are among best weight loss food.

  • Whole Grains: Whole grain are better than refined grain as they are rich in fiber and complex carbohydrates. Hence, whole grain cereals make good snacks than cookies, snack cakes, and chips. Keep aside all these snacks for occasional treats.

  • Crunchy Snacks: To satisfy your crunch appeal, air popped popcorn without butter, oil and salt is one of the best snacks, as popcorn is high in fiber, low in calorie and cholesterol. Puffed rice, roasted dal, rice flakes (bhelpuri), roasted channa are also best alternatives.

  • Nuts: Avoid nuts that are heavily salted, sweetened, or overly processed. Toasted or roasted nuts destroys a lot of delicate nutrients (vitamins and antioxidants). If you can not digest the raw nuts then toast it in microwave that destroy less nutrients or soak and sprout them before eating.

  • Dark Chocolate: People who always crave for chocolate can switch to dark chocolate that are rich in antioxidants and good for your health but have it in moderation; have two cubes per day.

  • Heavy Snacks: Sometimes you can urge for heavy snacks then you can opt for baked samosa whole wheat bread pizza, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat kaathi roll, Dhokla Khandvi Idlis etc.

  • Sweet: If you want to eat something sweet — whole wheat muffins, fruit chat, oat biscuits, figs fruit shakes, raisins are best alternative.

To shed extra weight around the thigh and hip area is very challenging. It can be difficult and  even frustrating, specially for today's women who always dream of leaner physic and want to carry those beautiful modern attire to show beautiful curves of their body, instead of frumpy and shapeless looking clothes. The main reason why women accumulate fat on highs and hips is because of what they eat. And the another fact is that woman's bodies are designed to retain fat in the hip and thigh areas to assist with childbearing and be available for energy in case of scarcity.  Fat on the lower part of their body is  to protect their reproductive organ. Sometimes, extra fat on hips and thigh is also hereditary and depends largely upon the genes. But today women are not likely to need fat stored in her hips and thighs, fortuitously  you can slim down hips and thighs through a combination of healthy diet and thigh exercise.

Eat Right
Women are more prone to cravings than men because of premenstrual syndrome and emotional eating. They always crave for high fat and high calorie foods that have no nutritional value. Hence, strict watch on your food intake is very crucial. Just note down what you eat regularly and ponder over the extra fat that your daily diet consist. You realize  the need of providing yourself with healthy, nutritious foods that give right kind of fuel to your body. A sensible diet plan should contain lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grain carbohydrates which are low in fat and have moderate amount of proteins. You can start your morning with a bowl of cereal; avoid fast food during the lunch hour; drink water rather than soda during meal. The other most important thing is eat in moderation your favorite snacks instead of leave it forever.  By eating in moderation, you can eat right while still enjoying food.

Exercise to tone up your lower region
Shaping up the hips and thighs with thigh exercise is not an impossible task. Exercising will definitely make you feel good as our body release endorphins hormones which are our body’s feel-good hormones that promote feelings of well-being and happiness. If you want to get rid of bulging thighs and hips, you must be prone to thigh exercises. Fat burning exercises are very important in toning up your lower body and you must plan thigh exercise workout for at least three to four times a week for about thirty minutes each time. The best thigh exercise workouts for fat burning are power walking, swimming and high intensity aerobics. A brisk walk in morning will be definitely fruitful for you and  if you can access a pool or beach, swimming would be a great full body workout without putting stress on the body while still providing a great workout for fat loss and muscle toning.
