Tackling Underage Drinking
Underage drinking is getting out of hand in many countries and the government of Wales has decided on a new initiative to combat the problem. Bottles will be marked with special codes that will be totally invisible to the naked eye. They can however be scanned with ultraviolet light to identify the shop that has sold the alcohol. The reason for this measure is that sometimes adults too buy alcohol for children who are underage and this can now be detected.
Not Hassle Free
An innovative method but not without its hassles, claim shop keepers because they wonder whether so many numbers can be generated and what happens when the bottles go for recycling. Police authorities say that this is not the ultimate solution but they do understand that they are closer to a solution. Today’s lifestyle has seen children taking to drinking, so it is time the government thought of solutions.
