Dating and the Bill

The trends are changing with dating and picking up the bill. Boys who initiate the first date will probably win in the war of who picks up the bill, but girls will probably insist on paying on subsequent days or going Dutch. Men have to get used to the idea (and most are really happy with it!) that since women are financially independent, they have to be given this right. The common trend now is that the one who does the inviting is the one who pays―whether boy or girl. So boys, get used to the idea of women treating you and women for those of you who have allowed the boys to pick up the bill all the time, it’s time you opened up your purse!

The crying Sumo festival or the Nakizumo festival took place in Japan last week. Babies were held by Sumo wrestlers and parents who were watching, hoped that their child would brawl the loudest! No, it is not a malicious act, but is considered to be a prayer sent out by babies to the god of health. The wrestlers held up the babies high in the air so that the gods could hear them! The baby with the loudest cry was declared the winner! The 400-year-old festival is also celebrated to drive away evil spirits. For those babies that do not cry, Sumo wrestlers make faces or the priests don on masks to frighten them! Children’s rights!
