Mrs. Azra Ashraf is a talented young lady with innumerable artistic skills. She has specialised in Interior designing with a degree from JBAS college in 2002. She is a person with high artistic abilities and her artistic skills vary from sketching, drawing, painting (water, oil on board, and oil on canvas) to creative art, dress designing , tailoring, and Mehendi designing. She also has certificates in Cosmetology, Dress Designing and Tailoring.

Truly a lady of many talents. Here she shares with our readers a step by step methodology of Mehendi Art, known amongst our NRI friends as 'henna tatoo'

This simple easy to learn system will encourage many of our readers to try their hands at Mehendi art. Literally.


Get good quality ingredients. This is the first step to successful Mehendi designing. Collect all that you need according to the given list and then prepare the paste for application.

Ingredients (Clockwise from left)

  • Mehendi powder fine sieved

  • Tea decoction prepared with tealeaves and cloves

  • Empty glass for use

  • Bottle of eucalyptus oil

  • Cloves

  • Suga

 

Add eucalyptus oil to the mehendi powder. 
Follow this with tea decoction
Mix well
Mehendi paste ready for application
Prepare the paste for application.
