Now you are 18 and ready to go to college. It is a big bad world out there and slowly you will get the taste of it. Show your parents that you are independent now and can manage yourself on you own. Go ahead and get a part time job for yourself. This can be really difficult for some as it may affect your studies. The best and wisest solution would be if you take up a job which is related to the field in which you are studying. Check if you can handle both work and college without affecting your grades and attendance. Work only if it doesn’t take a toll on your health. Just because you are funding your own education or working for experience don’t let your social life go for a toss. Managing a job with college can lead to irregular meal and sleep patterns. So think twice whether you will be able to manage and strike a fine balance between the two.
